Diversity and Sustainability at SO–IL
Diversity and equality are fundamental to our design approach at SO–IL. We recognize the systemic challenges in our profession and are committed to fostering cultural, economic, racial, and gender diversity in our hiring practices.
Our leadership team is at least 50% female and BIPOC, and we require that 12.5% of our project teams include Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) partners. We also dedicate 5% of employee time to pro-bono work and donate 2% of our revenue to charitable causes.
Environmental Commitment
We strive for sustainable design by minimizing waste and pollution, improving energy efficiency, and reducing environmental impact. We actively seek alternatives to harmful materials and are working to measure our projects' embodied and operational carbon within the next two years to increase transparency and accountability.
